The fear of dengue fever has come back with the changing season, the sites of standing water is a breeding ground for this mosquito and an open invitation to the spread of this lethal disease. Two deaths have already occurred in Lahore. Soon they may increase; the people are afraid and do not know what to do. The awareness campaigns must be restarted to educate them. Preventive measures should be taken, majority of the people do not follow the basic principles of health and thus they fall victim to the disease. The hospitals must get ready to face this menace once again. People must stick to instructions of the doctors. It is a dangerous disease and there is no cure for it. We can hope against hope that health department will combat with disease. JAVAID BASHIR
