ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Superintendent (Preventive) Zarghem Dil was shot injured by two unidentified men the other day. According to a report, the superintendent was on his way to office when the gunmen opened fire on his car just near his house. A bullet pierced through his left arm, and he was shifted to PIMS Hospital. Fortunately, he is out of danger. The FBR chairman, accompanied by customs member and chief collector (north) visited PIMS to enquire about the health of the wounded official. The chairman said all officials should perform their official duties without fear, and assured them that the government would bring to book the culprits involved in the attack. A case has been registered with the local police and efforts are being made to arrest the culprits. The attack appears to be the result of the recent intensive anti-smuggling campaign launched by the collectorate against smuggled/contraband goods and vehicles End.
