Criticism of Balochistan govt regrettable: Raisani
02 October, 2012
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Muhammad Aslam Raisani on Monday termed the criticism of the provincial government as regrettable, saying the statement that Balochistan was in the clutches of corrupt leadership showed the political bankruptcy of the critics. Talking to reporters, he said the statement of a political leader that true representatives of the people should be brought into power was contradictory to democratic principles as a democratically elected government with an alliance of different political parties was already functioning in the province. The chief minister said that such statements degraded the public mandate, adding that not only the Balochistan government had solved the issues of the masses but had also developed a political consensus for the political issues of the province. Criticising the statement of a provincial leader that Balochistan was being ruled by corrupt leaders, he said that it was quite easy to blame but difficult to prove the allegations. If somebody criticised the provincial government, they should also produce evidence, he said. End.
