Court freezes assets of four accused in ephedrine case

30 January, 2013

RAWALPINDI: Special Anti-Narcotics Court Judge Arshad Mehmood Tabbasum on Tuesday ordered to freeze assets of four accused including Makhdoom Shahbuddin, Ali Musa Gilani, Fauzia Gilani and Khushnood Akhtar Lashari for their alleged involvement in the Ephedrine quota case.

The Judge also summoned the accused on February 12 to appraise the court about their sources of income. The ANF had filed a petition with the special court seeking order to seize assets of the accused.

The ANF had pleaded that there is a possibility that money made from the Ephedrine quota was used in making assets.

End.
