RAWALPINDI: The 169th Corps Commanders' conference was held at the General Headquarters on Monday.

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif, chaired the meeting. The two-day-long conference was part of routine monthly meetings, says an ISPR press release.

On the first day of the conference, the forum discussed various professional matters at length. The participants also undertook a comprehensive review of the prevalent internal and external security situation of the country.

The second day of the conference is devoted to the promotion board from brigadier to the rank of major general.
