One often reads in the newspapers and hears on the news reports about the shortage of water and food across various parts of the country. As we all know, our political parties are playing the usual blame game with each other, using different propaganda techniques, and no one thinks of the one common issue plaguing everybody in this nation: the high population growth in the country. The country is just too overcrowded, due to which it is finding it difficult to even feed its own people. It is perhaps high time to think about this issue and to do something similar to what China enforced some years back — a one child policy. This is one issue that, if resolved, can solve many multiple issues as our country is severely facing a shortage of resources, be it coal, oil, food, water etc. If we do not take this matter seriously we will be fighting amongst ourselves for these resources.
