Consultation on caretaker PM to be completed soon: Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said that consultation process on the caretaker prime minister would be completed in a few days as they were taking all the stakeholders on board. He said that anarchy and chaos in the country were the evidence of the failure of federal government as it could not ensure security of life and property to the people. He said, "There is rule of constitution and law in Punjab, and situation of law and order in Punjab is better than other provinces. He said that the innocent Muslims were martyred in Quetta and federal government had not taken timely action over the Almdar Road and Hazara Town tragic incidents. He said if the government had been cognizant to the situation, these tragic incidents would not have happened. He said the culprits involved in terrorist activities must be brought to book. He questioned as to why no early notice of hundreds of killings in Quetta had been taken. Answering a question by a journalist, Nawaz Sharif said that opponents turned a project of Rs30 billion as a project of Rs90 billion, but focusing on accusations of opponents was just waste of time. He said that the culprits involved in tragic murder of Dr Ali Haider and his son would soon be brought before the court of law to face legal action. Talking on the occasion, father of late Dr Ali Haider thanked Nawaz Sharif for their condolence and expressed satisfaction that Punjab government was performing its duty to ensure proper investigation into murder case.
