Concern expressed over deteriorating situation of occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, APHC leaders, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and Nayeem Ahmed Khan, expressing serious concern over the deteriorating situation in the territory have said that Indian state terrorism cannot prevent the Kashmiri people from continuing their struggle to secure their right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash chairing a meeting of his party, Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, in Srinagar strongly condemned the cold-blooded murder of four youth in Shopian and injuring of one civilian in Srinagar by the unprovoked firing of Indian troops.
The participants of the meeting said that it was policy of the Indian government to kill and harass people to weaken their freedom sentiment and suppress the ongoing liberation movement. It is the responsibility of international community to save the Kashmiri people from the Indian atrocities.
A party delegation led by Muhammad Yousuf Naqash visited SMHS hospital and enquired about health of the injured youth.
Meanwhile, Nayeem Ahmad Khan in a statement in Srinagar said that the Shopian incident should wake up the conscience of pro-India politicians and they should resign for the sake of humanity and sit at their homes.
Nayeem Khan, who is under house arrest, said that the Indian forces had once again played a bloody game in Shopian. He condoled and expressed sympathy with the families of the bereaved families, adding that the entire Kashmir was at their back. He also denounced the firing by Indian troops on a civilian vehicle in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front in a statement condemned the continued illegal house arrest of the party Chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, and other Hurriyet leaders, demanding their immediate and unconditional release.
