Complete strike in IHK

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, complete strike was observed, today, to press further the demand for return of mortal remains of Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, buried inside Delhi's Tihar jail. call for the strike had been given by Muttahida Majlis-e-Mushawrat that was also aimed at protesting the continued detention and house arrest of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Gilani, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyet leaders and activists as well as reign of terror unleashed by Indian forces in the territory. Shops and business establishments remained closed in the commercial hub of Lal Chowk, Srinagar and public transport was off the roads in major towns of the Valley. End.
