Civilian, two cops killed

HERAT: Two police were killed during a clash with Taliban and a civilian died after a mine blast in western Herat province, security officials said Monday.

A clash happened between local police and Taliban in Deh Daman area today in which two cops including a commander were killed and another wounded, a security official in Shindand district, Herat province, told AIP.

He identified the deceased commander as Musa and said a talib fighter was also killed during the gun battle.
