MAZAR-I-SHARIF: A bomb blast killed a civilian and injured four more in Balkh district of northern province of Balkh on Monday, official said.

The blast was triggered by explosives planted in a bicycle near the Kabul Bank building in the Balkh district bazaar, the provincial police spokesman Sher Jan Durrani told the AIP.

It did not cause casualties to security forces, he said. However, some officials in Balkh told reporters that five Afghan Local Police personnel were injured in the blast.

No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing till filling of this report.
