08 February, 2007
ISLAMABAD: Mr. Darrell Hair has alleged ICC & PCB for racial discrimination, stating that the decision taken by ICC to ban him from supervising test and one day matches after the Oval row with Pakistan was a result of racial discrimination.
Sources reveal that Dr. Nasim Ashraf, Chairman PCB strongly reacting on the statement of Darrell Hair, said that the complaint is without a legal basis under the race relations legislation.
The Chairman PCB said that our case for the removal of Darrell Hair was based on professional and solid grounds and not on any racial discrimination. The Chairman PCB said that we are shocked to hear such news from a person who sold his esteem for 500 thousand dollars for the settlement of ball tempering case.
The Chairman PCB further said that PCB Lawyer Mark Gay of DLA Piper is working on a detail response in this regard. He strongly defied racial discrimination charges on part of PCB thus strongly regretting claims of Mr. Hair
