'Brutalities will never suppress Kashmiris' freedom will'

13 December, 2012

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Islamic Political Party Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash has said that the tactics of prolonging detentions of Kashmiri political prisoners by invoking draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) will never suppress the Kashmiris' voice for freedom.

Mohammad Yousuf Naqash addressing his party activists in Srinagar strongly condemned yet another cruel tactic of judicial torture of awarding death and life sentences to the Kashmiri political prisoners.

He said that the Kashmiris being under the colonial rule have every justification and right under international laws to struggle for freedom from illegal occupation and brutal oppression.

He said Indian government in utter violation of international laws has invoked its own repressive and draconian black laws not only to prolong the illegal detention of Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders but also to award them life term and death sentences.

Naqash deplored that the Indian government had also given its forces free hand to perpetrate state terrorism in the occupied territory by using the Armed Forces Special Powers Act as a licence to curb and crush the ongoing freedom movement.

He said that the world community, in general, and the United Nations, European Union, OIC and the international human rights organisations, in particular, are raising their voice for the Kashmiris' right to self-determination.

End.
