Bridge destroyed in Chitral

CHITRAL: Unidentified miscreants set on fire a bridge in Priat village some 45 kilometres from Chitral, cutting off access for hundreds of people as their land route was disconnected from the rest of the district on Tuesday.

SHO Koghuzi Police Station said that unidentified miscreants set ablaze the bridge late on Monday. Hundreds of people including aged men and women, children stranded across the bridge are compelled to travel through mountain trails to reach their destinations.

Koghuzi police have arrested a suspected person and started investigations.
