Balochistan is a naturally affluent province of Pakistan but the irony is that the issue of unemployed people remains pronounced in the province. Recently, the Pakistan People's Party-led government announced steps to curtail the problem but they have remained insufficient. Furthermore, people are not given jobs on merit but recommendations that make the entire situation more depressing. This has created a sense of frustration among capable and well-educated people of Balochistan. According to a research, the ratio if unemployment in Balochistan province is recorded at 33.4 percent as compared to 26.8 percent in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, 19.1 percent in Punjab and 14.4 percent in Sindh. Therefore, In Balochistan 90 percent people whether literate or illiterate are jobless and this menace of unemployment is leading them to an extended crisis because of inflation. NAWAZ ELLAHI BAKHSH
