28 September, 2012
ISLAMABAD: Former federal law minister Dr Babar Awan has again made unconditional apology in front of the Supreme Court in contempt of court case.
A two-member bench of Supreme Court comprising Justice Ijaz Afzal and Justice Ejaz Chaudhary, on Thursday, held hearing of the contempt of court case against Dr Babar Awan.
Previously, the bench included Justice Ijaz Afzal and Justice Athar Saeed but in Thursday's hearing Justice Athar Saeed was replaced by Justice Ejaz Afzal Chaudhary.
The Supreme Court postponed hearing of the contempt of court case for considering its details, before which Dr Babar Awan recorded unconditional apology before the bench for his previous conduct.
It merits mentioning here that Dr Awan was accused of contempt of court on passing ridiculous remarks about the judiciary during a press conference.
The date of the next hearing will be determined later.
