BISP top official dies in traffic accident

ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP)'s Waseela-e-Sehet Director General Muhammad Azam Salim died in a traffic accident. Salim was travelling from Lahore to his office in Islamabad, when he had an accident near Balkaser, resulting in his death and also of his driver. The funeral prayers were offered on Monday evening in Model Town, Lahore. Federal Minister and BISP Chairperson Farzana Raja expressed her grief on the sad demise of Salim and paid tribute to his relentless services for helping the noble cause of BISP. In her condolence message, she stated Salim an asset for BISP and said that he was an able and hard working officer. She said that Salim played an important role to make possible the provision of innovative facilities like life insurance and health insurance to millions of deserving families and his services would always be remembered in this regard. The BISP chairperson also condoled with the aggrieved family of Salim on behalf of all BISP team and prayed for the soul. End.
