Arshad Pappu murder case : Witnesses notproduced in court

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court-II on Saturday adjourned the hearing of Arshad Pappu murder case till January 29, after investigation officer failed to produce witnesses in the court.

All accused nominated in the murder cases of notorious gangster Arshad Pappu were produced in an armoured personnel carrier (APC) before ATC-II Judge under tight security. Accused included Pakistan People's Party lawmaker Shahjahan Baloch, Zubair Baloch, Saqib Baloch, Abdul Rehman, Yousif Baloch and Javed Baloch.

Notorious gangster Arshad Papu, his brother Yasir and his associate Shera were killed on March 16. The gangster's widow had registered the FIR. Pappu was tortured to death and his body thrown in a manhole in Kalokot locality of Karachi.

ATC adjourned the hearing until to January 29 due to the IO's failure to produce witnesses.
