Another beautiful mind gone... By Farah

It is with deep regret and sadness that one gets to witness this day in Pakistan's history where human life is little more than a statistic that can be scratched out due to something as trivial as the 'sect' to which one belongs. Shias are being killed with such impunity now that it feels as if we are seeing the end of days here in Pakistan where a genocide is taking place and no one is bothering to do something about it. The latest victim of this slaughter is Professor Syed Sibte Jafar, a gentle kind man who was the principal of a college and a lover of Urdu poetry. His only crime? Being a Shia in a nation ravaged by bloodlust. I cry today for his family and those impressionable young minds who adored him. I pray that the murderers who did this get what they deserve from God Himself, the God we all believe in. FARAH KHAN
