Another PPP MPA defects to PML-N

LAHORE: Another Pakistan People's Party member of the provincial assembly in Punjab on Saturday joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. Rana Munawar Ghaus announced his decision during a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Talking to reporters on the occasion, Rana expressed complete confidence in the leadership of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif. He also appreciated the steps taken by Punjab government for the progress and prosperity of the people in the province. Shahbaz welcomed Rana in the party and assured him full support. Rana's defection comes a day after as many as nine prominent politicians – seven PPP members of the Punjab Assembly and two PML-Q members of the National Assembly – quit their parties and joined the PML-N.
