Anoki offers to broker Taliban peace deal

ISLAMABAD: Renowned wrestler and Japanese parliamentarian Muhammad Hussain Anoki on Wednesday said he was hurt to see Muslims fighting each other and added that he has come to Pakistan to facilitate talks between the government and the Taliban to restore peace and stop killings.
Addressing a press conference, Anoki said that he would visit the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and personally meet Taliban leaders to know their viewpoint.
"I am praying to Allah Almighty to succeed me in my mission of bringing peace in Pakistan. I am sure peace will soon come to the country," he said, adding that he was ready to sacrifice his life to make his peace mission successful.
