An impending civil war... By Zunaira

I believe that appearing glamourous and distinct is everyone's desire. Perhaps westerners were the first to introduce brands and luxurious cars. This culture then revolutionised and spread to the rest of the world. A famous designer once told me that every country has some rich people in it and that the designers work for them. No matter how costly an outfit or accessory, the rich class buys it conveniently. For many decades, the allure of glamour has been gaining momentum in our society. Pakistan, which is a poor and developing country, has an elite class with unlimited money, time and resources. The widening gap between the bourgeoisie and proletariat is increasing and the upcoming revolution is near, which will demolish all these inequalities.
The elite culture is glamourous and a symbol of distinction, which impresses upon others their sense of superiority and extravagance. It is time to introduce Marxism in this society. Spending on clothes, bags and shoes leads nowhere. The elite must begin to use their heads. If this class discrimination will not be discouraged, then we should expect a bloody civil war. The upper class is enjoying and spending away while the lower class is suffering. There is no room for luxury where people are starving.
