06 January, 2013
KARACHI: The chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has appealed to the public, workers and office-bearers of the party to donate generously for the long march, being held in Islamabad on January 14. According to a press release issued on Saturday, he said MQM was neither a rich organisation nor any rich feudal landlord was at its back. He said that hundreds of thousands of the MQM workers and sympathisers would take part in the long march and for that purpose financial contributions were urgently needed from the public. He asked the people to donate dry food items and other things of daily use at the head office of Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF) or MQM Head Office, Nine Zero in Azizabad, so that they could be dispatched to the participants of the long march. End.
