Ali Zafar's 'Pakistan Idol' anthem goes live; 4 interesting facts
05 December, 2013
The much anticipated 'Pakistan Idol' anthem, which has gone on air yesterday, showing an energetic leather jacket clad Ali Zafar in front of a crowd of thousands, has made an impact in the first few hours of release.
The video of this high energy, adrenalin-triggering song, written, composed and sung by Ali Zafar, shows him strumming a guitar on a big stage encouraging all young Pakistanis to go out in the world and prove their talent.
Being an inspirational success story himself, he was the perfect candidate to galvanise Pakistani young talent into action. Having trended worldwide on Twitter recently and holding the biggest footprint in terms of Google search results in cyber world (out of all Pakistani celebrities), the crooner's awakening call ends in stirring up a revolution virtually on screen too.
The video is a true depiction of 'Pakistan Idol' pre-eminence and Mobilink's support for not only nurturing new singing talent but also providing an avenue for Pakistan to showcase it's talent to the entire world.
However, there are four things you don't know about this anthem:
1) Some 1,200 safety pins were used by Ali Zafar's designer to adorn the shoulders of his red leather jacket.
2) The video was shot at a time when he was composing for his film 'Total Siyapaa' with Yami Gautam, releasing on May 31.
3) Ali Zafar sprained his ankle during the high jump shown.
4) He was sporting the look of his next Yash Raj film, 'Kill Dill', in which he will play the role of a street gangster, hence the untamed mane and goatee.
Currently shooting in India for his action film 'Kill Dill', Zafar sends best wishes to all those competing for the title and daring to be great.
