QUETTA: According to the reports, death toll reached to 84 including two journalists, a DSP and more than 130 injured in two back-to-back bomb blasts which were hit the Quetta city on Thursday evening.

According to hospital sources three more died in the hospital and the condition of several others is critical.

Sources told our sources the first blast was reported from Rehmattullah Chowk on Alamdar Road, whereas the second one which struck Airport road area nearby came minutes after the first one.

The DIG Police Quetta, Hamid Shakil, says the numbers of dead and injured were 69 and 120 respectively.

"The first suicide bomber detonated his device inside a crowded snooker club, then about 10 minutes later another bomb planted outside the building went off as police, media workers and rescue teams rushed to the site.

Police officers, mediamen, and rescue workers were also among the injured and the dead, said security sources.

Fearing a rise in casualties, the hospital sources said some of the injured were critical.

DSP Quaidabad, Mujahid Hussain, and SHO Jaafar Ali, who were injured in the second blast succumbed to their wounds later in the hospital.

A SAMAA TV's cameraman, Imran Shaikh and a reporter, Saif-ur-Rahman, were also killed in the deadly blast. A satellite engineer of the same news channel was also seriously wounded in the blast.

Police said the bombings disrupted power supplies and plunged the area into darkness.

The above two blasts bring today's number of explosions hitting the terror-stricken city to three. At least twelve people including two children and a FC personal were killed while 40 others sustained injuries when a powerful bomb ripped through Bacha Khan Chowk earlier in the day.

CCPO Quetta Mir Zubair Mehmood said twin suicide attacks killed 81 people and wounded more than 120 others at a crowded snooker club.

"The death toll has risen to 81 so far," senior police official Mir Zubair Mehmood told a news conference, putting the number of wounded at 121.

End.

AMAZING!

It's simply amazing to Americans to hear the constant whine about drone attacks in NWF that have accounted for the most effective targeting of the men slaughtering Pakistani citizens on what appears to be a near daily basis. 56 dead in this attack....106 dead nationwide today alone counting all attacks.

Since 2007 TTP has murdered nearly 38,000 Pakistanis of every stripe...women-children-police-security-politicians-teachers-doctors-aid workers , etc. Drone attacks, by contrast have accounted for no more than 3600 death with 90%+ being terrorists and their immediate family and supporters.

The terrorists have drummed up as much political support as possible to pressure Pakistan to call for an end to such strikes because the terrorists are now the terrorized and these cowards who routinely target the weak and innocent don't like that!

WAKE UP PAKISTAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bomb blasts etc

Can somebody please educate me whether Islam allows anybody to kill innocent people just for the sake of killing.
Why Pakistan leaders are enjoying the senseless killings from a distance.
