APHC to observe Black Day on 26th

25 January, 2013

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter has decided to observe January 26, the Indian Republic Day, as black day.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting presided over by its Convenor, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in chair, expressed serious concern over the continued human rights violations by India troops in the territory.

The meeting also denounced the unprovoked firing on the Line of Control by the Indian troops and the continued illegal detention of Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory. It also urged the international human rights organisations to take notice of the Indian state terrorism.

It was also decided in the meeting that a protest sit-in would be held on the Indian Republic Day outside the United Nations Military Observersí Group (UNMOG).
