KARACHI: Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President Senator Shahi Syed has said that ANP has no rivalry with Muttahida Qaumi Movement or any other as they were the followers of Ahmed Shah Abdali and Bacha Khan.
Addressing a party convention at the Karachi Port Trust Ground, here on Sunday, he said that his party believed and engaged in politics of principles. He further said that his party had no militant wing as ANP pursued the philosophy of peace, co-existence and non-violence. He warned that rights of Pushtuns couldn't be usurped.
He particularly warned various institutions, including Karachi Electric Supply Company and Karachi Port Trust and asked the authorities to set a proper dimension for their policies. He demanded of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) to stop subjecting Pushtuns to discrimination, said adding that they had joined PPP for strengthening the democracy.
End.
