ANF seizes huge quantity of narcotics

ISLAMABAD: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 1.1 kilograms heroin at Peshawar airport on Monday.
According to a press release, ANF has recovered 1.1 kilograms heroin from a passenger Iqbal, resident of Tehsil Tangi, District Charsadda at Peshawar airport. The heroin was concealed in improvised cavities inside two cricket bats. The passenger Iqbal has been arrested. He was to fly to Dubai by flight No NL-786. Meanwhile, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) also recovered 662 kilograms hashish at Sukkur, arresting one person.
Meanwhile, a Mazda truck (TKR-831) came to the site and after detailed checking resulted in recovery of 662 kilograms hashish concealed in secret cavities of the vehicle. A person namely Mumtaz Ali resident of Shikarpur has been arrested.
Meanwhile, Motorway police seized 44 kg charas from a car near Khanqah Dogran, Bhaka Bhattian Motorway Interchange on Monday. On suspicion, police intercepted a car (KV-176) and recovered the contraband hidden in the floor of the vehicle. When police was busy in searching charas, the accused managed to escape by jumping over the motorway fence.
