A string of attacks... By Sobia

The recent spate of terrorism has traumatised the entire country. This time the terrorists have targeted all the provincial capitals. As of now, only the Baloch United Army (BUA) has claimed responsibility for the blast in Quetta; for the rest of the three blasts, no one has claimed responsibility. These blasts have once again exposed the poor security arrangements at public places where the lives of innocents are at stake. The fear of terrorism has already bound people inside their homes, so no one feels comfortable going out. This menace of terrorism has sabotaged the peace and stability of our country. We are stuck so badly in this quagmire that it seems to be the fate of our future generations as well. There is a lot of debate and discussion going on in all circles of life regarding the handling of this situation but without any fruitful results. Innocent people are dying on a daily basis but the concerned authorities do not feel any remorse.
Our elected leaders still think that negotiations should be carried out with those who are not willing to surrender till the time their demands are met but why have the innocent become targets? The entire nation wants peace and stability in the country but how long will the blood of innocents be sacrificed for it? These blasts, happening on a daily basis, should be taken seriously as they have become a routine thing for our daily news bulletins. Now, all eyes are on the peace talks between the government and the Taliban. The entire nation wants an end to this menace. Our government should not proceed with these talks on a weaker leg where preconditions or demands by the Taliban are entertained.
