Pakistan has, once again, been put in the top three list of countries that are the world's deadliest places for journalists. This is not a kind reference. Seeing that Pakistan has been featuring in this list for a few years now, I would like to ask the authorities what exactly has been done to safeguard members of the media. Have any policies been made and protective measures taken? Do we just send our young men and women out onto the field to report on the facts only to have them slain in the line of duty? It is the responsibility of our law enforcement agencies, our government authorities and media organisations to provide our journalists with the safety and security necessary for the job. We should not stay on this list any longer. HARRIS MUZAFAR
