8 Taliban killed

KABUL: Security forces killed eight anti-government gunmen over the past 24 hours while two Afghan soldiers were also killed during the same period, defence ministry said Tuesday.
A press issued by defence ministry said security forces conducted operation in Chak district of Wardak province, killing eight armed opponents.
It said four suspects were detained during separate operations in Kunduz, Paktia and Logar provinces, adding two arms.
