6 Taliban perish in Wardak operation

MAIDAN SHAHAR: Six Taliban were killed and their local commander held in Syedabad district of Wardak province yesterday, officials said Sunday.

ISAF conducted bombardment during an operation of joint force in Baghak and Dand areas of Syedabad district yesterday, killing six Taliban fighters, a Wardak press office statement available with the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) said. A Taliban commander was arrested during ground operation, it added.

The combined force did not suffer casualties in the operation, the press release said.

The Taliban have not said anything in this regard till filling of this report.
