6 FWO labourers kidnapped in Wana

WANA: Six labourers of Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) went missing on Tuesday from Inzar Cheena area of Shakai, in South Waziristan Agency.

Sources said, unidentified miscreants kidnapped the FWO workers from Inzar Cheena and their whereabouts were still not known. The Shakai area is inhabited by the Wazir tribe where Taliban commander Maulvi Nazir has sway.

Maulvi Nazir is in a peace deal with the government, however, military operations were conducted previously against the militants in the area but there is calm at present. Political administration has initiated efforts for the recovery of the missing labourers.
