5.4 magnitude quake jolts KP

PESHAWAR: A moderate earthquake jolted different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday evening.

According to the Meteorological Department, the tremor was felt in Mingora, different areas of Swat, Mansehra, Mardan and other parts of the province.

Its intensity was 5.4 magnitude on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the tremor was the Hindu-Kush mountain range in Afghanistan. The earthquake made the people come out of their houses. Fortunately, there was no report of any loss of life or property.
