MAKKAH – At least 50 Pakistani pilgrims sustained injuries in the crane crash that took place in Makkah and seven of them are in critical condition.

Talking to Radio Pakistan here on Saturday, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf said that seven Pakistanis were in critical condition.

In a separate development, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Manzoorul Haq revealed that 16 Pakistani pilgrims were under-treatment in different hospitals.

He said that he visited the hospitals and met the injured, adding that people were contacting the Pakistani Embassy in Saudi Arabia for latest information.
