ISLAMABAD: A five-member joint investigation team was constituted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman on Tuesday to investigate the Arsalan Iftikhar case.
The team is headed by the NAB Financial Crimes Investigation Wing DG. It includes one member each from the FIA and police, and three members from NAB.
In its first meeting, the team decided to collect relevant material from the quarters concerned within a week to proceed further. The meeting was held at the NAB Headquarters. It was decided in the meeting that the committee would contact the people concerned to collect information relevant to the case and analyse the collected facts before proceeding further.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court had directed the government to conduct an inquiry into the case.
