5 lashkar men killed in Bara clash

PESHAWAR: As many as five members of a peace militia were killed and seven others were injured after militants attacked them in the Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Saturday. Official sources in the political administration said that the militants attacked positions of the peace militia in the Akkakhel area. As many as five volunteers were killed and seven others were injured in the attack. The volunteers retaliated to the attack. The militants fled after the gun battle. Meanwhile, unidentified miscreants blew up a NATO container through an IED explosion in Jamrud Bazaar. However, no casualties were reported in the explosion. End.
