46 Taliban killed, claims ISAF

KABUL: ISAF and Afghan authorities claim 46 Taliban were killed during separate operations in different regions of Afghanistan. Combined force killed 38 Taliban and wounded eight others in different areas of the country throughout the past 24 hours, interior ministry said in a statement Thursday. It said the combined force also seized 15 suspected Taliban and recovered weapons and ammunition during the operations conducted in Kabul, Ningarhar, Kandahar, Balkh, Uruzgan, Wardak and Paktia provinces. In another statement, the interior ministry said security forces captured two would-be suicide bombers in Bagram district of Parwan provinces last night. Meanwhile, a press release issued by ISAF said combined force killed eight suspects in Logar and Ningarhar provinces over the past 24 hours. End.
