41 duty-free bulletproof cars imported in five years

ISLAMABAD: Forty-one duty-free bulletproof vehicles have been imported to Pakistan in five years. According to an official report, the US Embassy in Islamabad is at the top of the list in importing 20 duty-free bulletproof vehicles.
British High Commission has imported three such vehicles, UNO three, Japan two, Germany two, Kuwait two, Franc, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Italy, Afghanistan and World Bank have imported one vehicle each. The exemption of million of rupees was given in this regard.
Former chief minister Balochistan had imported two while the Peshawar High Court registrar had imported one bulletproof vehicle.
The trend of importing bulletproof vehicles is increasing while 155 persons imported such vehicles by paying duty.
