4 killed in firing on Jaffar Express

QUETTA: At least four passengers were killed and 10 others seriously injured when armed men fired on the Jaffar Express in Kohsar area of Kachhi, Bolan district, on Saturday night.

Official sources in the Pakistan Railways told APP that Jaffar Express was on its way to Quetta from Rawalpindi when it was attacked by the unidentified armed men in the mountainous area of Bolan.

An exchange of fire took place between the law enforcement personnel on the train and the armed assailants, however, the accused managed to escape, the official sources added.

Condition of the some injured is critical and they have been referred to the Combined Military Hospital, Quetta.
