35 Talaiban arrested

KABUL: As many as 35 armed opponents have been arrested in operations of Afghan and foreign combined forces, the Ministry of Interior said Wednesday.

The combined Afghan and foreign forces conducted operations in Baghlan, Kunduz, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Khost, Farah and Helmand provinces over the past 24 hours, arresting 35 armed opponents and killing one more, an interior ministry press release available with the AIP stated.

Five weapons, 29 landmines, four hand-grenades, an explosives-laden vehicle and other war gadgets were seized in the operations, it added.
