3 captive construction workers found dead

KABUL: Three captive workers of a construction firm were found dead in Nawzad district of Helmand province on Sunday. They were kidnapped on, this year, while they were working on construction of a road in Nawzad district, the Helmand governor's spokesman Ahmad Zeerak told the Afghan Islamic Press (AIP). The armed opponents have not said anything in this regard till filling of this report. Meanwhile, the Taliban spokesman Qari Muhammad Yousaf Ahmadi told the AIP their fighters conducted a blast on the Grishk district police chief today. He claimed the district police chief and his two guards were killed in the blast. However, a security official in Helmand on condition of anonymity told the AIP that blast struck the vehicle of a police officer, causing no casualties. End.
