2010 flood affectees fail to re-establish despite aid

13 January, 2014

ISLAMABAD: Despite government's joint efforts with NADRA to provide relief to flood affectees of 2010, the affectees have failed to stabilize, re-establish themsleves.

The government has disbursed more than Rs 40 billion in two phases through Watan Card to these affectees, in joint coordination with NADRA and Cabinet Division, not withstanding foreign aid.

Yet all these efforts failed to stabilize flood affectees, who never managed to re-establish themselves despite a lapse of 4 years, while government seems to become equally oblivious to their plight as well.

End.
