2 schoolchildren killed in Rajouri district

01 February, 2013

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, two schoolchildren were killed in a bomb blast in Rajouri district.

The children identified as 9-year-old Shezeena Kausar and her 7-year-old brother Khursheed Hussain while returning from their school were killed when they hit an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb at Bruen in Dera Mangota area of the Rajouri district.

Hundreds of people carried the bodies to Thanna Mandi town and demanded the registration of an FIR against Indian troops, who they said were responsible for the blast.

The victims happened to be siblings. The blast took place close to an Indian army camp, the local media men said. Meanwhile, two persons were killed and another was injured, when the truck they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into the gorge at Kelamorh on Jammu – Srinagar highway.

End.
