2% job quota allocated for disabled people

Karachi: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Media Affairs and Auqaf Sharmila Faruqui has said that special children are the part and parcel of the society and they are second to none in talents. They just need proper attention and facilities to use their capabilities. This she said while speaking as a chief guest here at Darul Sukun at an award distribution ceremony of gifts. She said that she was very happy to here among these special children and it was the responsibility of all stakeholders to come forward to help out in this noble cause. She added Sindh government had taken many steps to provide better opportunities to special people. She suggested that in all buildings and commercial areas ramp should be made to facilitate the special children. As a civilised society, it is our prime duty to take care of special people. She said that the government had allocated two percent quota in government jobs for disabled people and it was strictly being followed. Special children should be treated as we treat common children. No doubt they have some issues so they also need our more attention. End.
