18 bodies found in Bara

LANDIKOTAL: Locals found 18 bodies from the Alam Godhar area of Bara, Khyber Agency, sources said on Tuesday. However, the administration, security forces and militants' groups did not confirm the incident.

Local sources revealed that eight persons among the dead belonged to one family, including mentally challenged person. Three others among the dead were also reported to be members of another family. This was the second major incident on Tuesday in Bara.

Sources said that the bodies had torture marks, but all the victims were shot dead.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami FATA spokesman Shah Jehan has strongly condemned the incident. On the other hand, Khyber Political Agent Motahir Zib reportedly announced Rs 200,000 for each Khyber Khasadar Force personnel killed on Monday night.

The PA also visited those hospitalised in Peshawar and announced Rs 100,000 for each injured.
