17 education institutes opened for students

KABUL: As many as 17 buildings for schools and other educational institutions were constructed and inaugurated in different districts of Wardak province. The school buildings were officially inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Education Minister Dr. Farooq Wardak, Provincial Governor Abdul Majeed Khan Khugyani, members of provincial council, tribal elders and security officials. While opening the school buildings, Education Minister Farooq Wardak termed the construction of the schools an exemplary progress in education sector and thanked local officials and tribal elders for their cooperation. Governor Abdul Majeed stressed the need of the construction of school buildings for quality education and urged the minister to put the construction of rest of 200 schools on their future plan. He said several new schools would opened and several more would be upgraded next year. Education director Fazlur Rahman Tariq also addressed the opening ceremony and said there were 150230 students studying in 418 educational institutions in the province. End.
