14 more dead as Karachi violence continues

KARACHI: Incidents of drive-by shootings and dumping of dead bodies continued in Karachi as violence claimed 14 more lives over night, officials said Sunday. According to local police, firing incidents were reported in Hussain Abad, Azizabad, Sohrab Goth, Manghopir, SITE area, North Nazimabad and New Karachi areas. Some 13 people, including a doctor, were targeted by the miscreants in the "target-killing". A dead body was recovered in Baldia Town suburb late Saturday night. Meanwhile, police and paramilitary Rangers rounded up more than 20 suspected criminals in an overnight search operation in Baldia and SITE area, recovering illegal arms from their possession. End.
