14 insurgents killed

CHARIKAR: Fourteen armed insurgents were killed during a search operation in the Tagab district of central Kapisa province, officials claimed on Thursday. 1st Lt. Jamshed, a police commander, said the offensive was launched a week ago and ended on Thursday.

He told Pajhwok Afghan News 11 rebels were killed and nine others injured. Four machine guns, 11 Kalashnikovs, two rocket launchers and ammunition were seized. Sher Khel, Omer Khel and Shinkai areas were cleared of insurgents.
