13 killed in roof collapse, road accident

KHANEWAL: Five persons died and 50 others sustained injuries when roof of a mosque caved in, in Mian Channu, while eight persons were killed and 15 others injured as two vehicles fell into a ravine after colliding with a tractor trolley in Bolan.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, the Qul ceremony of late Maulana Rubnawaz was in progress in Hussain Ibn-e-Ali Mosque in Mian Channu when the roof collapsed.

Ghulam Muhammad, Bashir Ahmad, Shahnaz Bibi, Pir Bakhsh and Ghulam Nabi died on the spot while around 50 others sustained serious injuries.

The accident in Bolan took place near Dhadar area where a speeding passenger coach, after colliding with a tractor trolley, plunged into a ravine. A car also fell into the gorge in the accident.
